Welcome to the home page of the Michigan Tech Center for Science
and Environmental Outreach (CSEO). The Center has served Michigan's
Upper Peninsula and the surrounding upper Great Lakes region since
it was first established as the Michigan Tech Regional Groundwater
Education in Michigan (GEM) Center in 1991. The Center changed
its name to Center for Science and Environmental Outreach in 1997.
In 2001, the school outreach programs of the CSEO partnered with
the
Copper Country Intermediate School District and the Gogebic-Ontonagon
Intermediate School District to form the Western Upper Peninsula
Center
for Science, Mathematics, and Environmental Education (WUPCSMEE).
All of the Center's K-12 science and environmental education programs
are now
delivered through WUPCSMEE. The two centers, CSEO and WUPCSMEE
are now administered separately. Click on the links to the left
for more information about each Center's programs.
