“Shaping Our Future” Survey

Township Land Use Maps, Houghton County, 2002
In 2002, the Houghton County Planning Commission (HCPC) asked the 14 Houghton County townships to color a series of plat maps to reflect the current land uses within their jurisdiction. This information is part of the County’s land-use planning process. Digital versions of the resulting maps were completed with funding from the HCPC and NEETF.

Watersheds and Community Water Supply Wells

Superintendents of water supply systems that serve communities compile annual reports on water sources and water quality test results for their customers and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality's Drinking Water and Radiological Protection Division. Download a summary of the information contained in the 1999 Consumer Confidence Reports for Houghton and Keweenaw County communities.
